Kota Damansara used to be a very quiet place where one can be at peace with nature.
However, some solid improvements have been done over the years and although there
are still some peaceful places to visit here, the place definitely provides fun and
Jom Cari Makan
If there is one thing that Malaysians truly love, that would be food. The country’s rich
food culture is inherent in all of the dishes that are served in this country.
Just right outside of Encorp Strand Mall, there is an outdoor walkway that is known as
the red carpet avenue.
In this place, you can find so many different food trucks that provide you with a vast
array of different Malaysian delicacies, local dishes, and even those that are inspired by
our Asian neighbors. In fact, you can even find some waffles, soft drinks, and other
Western dishes as well.
Kota Damansara Community Forest Reserve
This vast forest reserve is a nice refuge away from the other bustling cities in Malaysia.
It covers a total of 320 hectares of land but there are 16-kilometer trails that you can
follow if you want to experience nature, as well as having some cardio included in as well.
The Kota Damansara Community Forest Reserve is well-managed by the KDFC society
and they are very strict when it comes to cleanliness.
Aside from the fact that you can traverse the 16-kilometer long walkway, there are
plenty of signs that will help guide you along the way.
Although you can walk throughout the forest reserve during nighttime, I would still
suggest that you do the walking in the morning as it can be pretty dark during the night.
1-Utama’s Indoor Surfing and Skydiving
If you want to experience what it’s like to do skydiving but without actually jumping off of
a plane, then you definitely have to go to 1-Utama’s Indoor Surfing and Skydiving shop.
1-Utama is actually a shopping mall and there is a new wing inside the mall that is built
for the AirRider and the FlowRider.
The former is where you can experience skydiving through as simulation and the latter
is where you can experience the waves also by way of simulating real-world bodies of water.
Chocolate Museum and Shop
If you are an avid chocolate lover and you want to fill your need for such, then you must
visit the Cholate Museum and Shop.
This place not only sells chocolate but it also gives you vital information about its many
benefits as well. You can find a vast array of different chocolates and this place is
considered by locals as their chocolate heaven.
If you are still craving more sweets after gorging on some of the amazing chocolates in
the museum, you can head on over to the Cookie Nation where they serve up some
amazing cookie treats with an ice cream scoop in the middle for your taste buds’ pleasure.
